I don't know why she asked me to show her how the computer works when I've hardly used it myself. It would be a case of the blind leading the blind.

(Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if one blind person guides another, both will fall into a pit.

You all are the salt of the earth. Our hope is placed on you.

(You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. Matthew 5:13)

在此,salt用于转义,表示flavor;of the earth即of the world。

He cannot fulfill the job because although the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak.

(Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial, the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41)

Unemployment, like the sword of Damocles, was always accompanying the workers.

变体:hang by a hair or thread(千钧一发;岌岌可危;摇摇欲坠)。

The writing is on the wall for the club unless they can find 20000 pounds.

the finger on the wall或the writing or handwriting on the wall和动词see或read连用,用以形容“不祥之兆”。
